| Take it seriously but don't get anxious. Anxiety has prevented a lot of people from presenting themselves in the best light and then not being considered for something they ended up wanting. Prepare yourself appropriately. Get a good night's sleep. Prepare your freshly cleaned and newer clothing the night before. Eat a healthy breakfast. Study your route the night before and allow yourself a good half hour of extra time to get to where you need to go. Take your phone for any last minute emergency calls. | Relax. You want to be yourself. Take all the pressure off yourself by putting your focus and thought outside of yourself. Your goal is to present yourself in the best light, both natural and sincere. No matter what you hear or see, do not make any judgments about the people you are meeting, the environment, or what is or has been discussed. Save all of your judgments until you have gathered all the information about the company, the benefits, and the opportunity you are there to investigate. Wait an hour or two after the interview. Do something relaxing. Now how do you feel about all the information you have gathered? Then call your recruiter. | Your goal in all cases is to walk out of that interview with that company wanting you. You do not have to accept any offer if you get one, but you want them to want you. That puts you in the driver's seat. That gives you more control over your future. No matter what comes to mind during the interview you want them to want you. You want that choice. It is always in your best interest to conduct your self in a manner that has people thinking you are the best person for that opportunity. Questions and Comments |
